Mental health counseling, or psychotherapy, is a form of mental health treatment consisting of meeting with a licensed individual to assist you with processing any emotional or mental anguish you may be experiencing. The process can look very different based on the various evidence-based practices and approaches used by your therapist.
Therapy is a process and is unique to each individual. When developing your treatment plan with your therapist, a timeline will be discussed for your goals. This timeline can be amended at any time throughout the counseling process.
Therapy sessions are completed via a HIPAA compliant web service to protect your information. Sessions are two-way video and audio, so you and your therapist will both be able to see and hear each other. Sessions can be completed from any device with access to the internet.
Most insurance companies have coverage for behavioral health services. This information will also be provided to you by Waves Clinical Services at, or before, your intake session, however, you should contact your insurance company directly to confirm your specific benefits. You can typically find a behavioral health number or customer service number on the back of your insurance card.
Waves Clinical Services accepts all major debit or credit cards, including FSA and HSA cards, to provide payment for any services or co-payments not covered by insurance.
